Inside the kitchen

The top shelf, brought down.

Lift-up doors and pull-down shelves that bring the top of the kitchen within reach.

Wall unit lifts

How it works.

Wall units are often the least used storage in a kitchen. A lift-up door opens out of your way, and a pull-down shelf brings the contents down to the worktop, so the full height of the wall works.

Why it matters

What you get.

Reach without a stool

A pull-down shelf brings the top of a tall wall unit down to worktop height.

Doors out of the way

A lift-up door stays open above your head, so both hands are free.

Steady, quiet movement

Doors and shelves move evenly and close softly, with no slam.

Fronts that match

The same fronts and finish as the rest of the run. The mechanism stays out of sight.

Our process

From measure to fit.

  1. 01

    Measure the wall

We note the ceiling height, the units below and where the power runs.

  2. 02

    Choose the mechanism

Lift-up, bi-fold or pull-down, picked for the door size and what you keep up there.

  3. 03

    Fit and adjust

Each mechanism is set to the weight of its door and shelves, then tested open and shut.

Questions

Good to know.

Does an electric shelf lift need a socket?

Yes. We plan a power point inside or above the wall unit as part of the electrical layout, so no cable is on show.

Can a lift-up door be fitted to an existing wall unit?

Often, if the cabinet sides are sound and the door size suits the mechanism. We check on site and tell you honestly if a new unit is the better answer.
